Résumé

Playground

Side projects, motion studies and interface experiments. Nothing here needs a case study.

The word hello written in mid-air in pink neon, over a webcam view of the person drawing it with a raised finger; a colour, thickness and glow panel sits down the right edge.01Air drawHand tracking · webcam
Open it
Drawing with nothing in your hand. The webcam tracks your fingers and the raised one is the pen, so the canvas is the air in front of the screen. Hover the tile and the word gets written; the still is where that stroke ends up.
Still metal, and it is the switch. Open it and the button asks for the camera; every reflective surface inside comes on together.
03Motion · WebGLDuo tilt
Open it
An iPhone home screen that bends when you tilt the phone: the near edge stays put while the far side recedes, defocuses and darkens. Best on a phone. On a desktop there is a slider instead.
A task board: a form for title, priority and colour on the left, and a dotted canvas on the right where tasks get pinned.04Task boardTasks · drag and drop
Open it
Pin it, drag it, complete it. Tasks are notes on a dotted board rather than rows in a list — each one gets a priority and a colour, and you drop it wherever it belongs. There is a list view for when the board stops helping.
A dark music player: a Good evening greeting, a search field, and a grid of coloured genre tiles.05Spotify clonePersonal · music player

Built for my own listening rather than as a portfolio piece, and it shows in the corners. Left here because rebuilding an interface you use every day is the fastest way to find out how much of it you had actually looked at.

Reflective button

Brushed steel that catches the room. Press it and it asks for the camera; what it reflects after that is whatever is in front of you.

05Ice · cameraWaiting for the cameraReflective card

Reflective card

A pane of ice. The camera is blurred, bent through a low-frequency field, and bent harder again in a ring at the edge, where a real pane refracts most.

The video stays in this tab. Nothing is recorded, saved or sent anywhere, and closing this turns the camera off.
